About the CAA Organization

CAA Organization WebsiteComputer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology (CAA) www.caaconference.org
CAA is an international organization whose goal is to expand fruitful communication between archaeologists, computer scientists, and mathematicians for the benefit of the discipline of archaeology.

Past CAA Conferences

CAA began as a small organization with an annual conference at the University of Birmingham in 1973. Participation in the organization grew over the years, and in 1992, the first conference held outside the UK took place in Denmark. Since then, the annual conferences and meetings have rotated to cities throughout Europe The CAA conference has grown to be the premier venue for the presentation and dissemination of studies involving cutting edge technology and quantitative applications in archaeology. These studies include: 3-D visualization (rendered and interactive), database construction and management, GIS, remote sensing, statistical analyses, web-based technologies, and more.
